Transparency in Coverage

In late 2020, federal agencies responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) – the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services (HHS), and Treasury (the Departments) – issued the Transparency in Coverage (TiC) final rule. The rule requires issuers and non-grandfathered group health plans in the commercial market to provide pricing information to the public in machine-readable files and to members through a pricing tool.
